Why is Dog Obedience Training necessary?

Group TrainingDog Training is one of the most important aspects of raising a dog. A well trained pet dog offers its owner enjoyable, loving, stress relieving companionship. It is more reliable unsupervised and requires fewer restrictions.

When you have visitors, there’s no need to banish a well-behaved dog to another room for fear that he will be a royal nuisance. An obedience trained dog is both appreciated and welcomed. He receives more attention and interaction from family members, visitors, and passers-by. He is an asset rather than a liability. Whereas the untrained dog is ill-mannered and a real nuisance or even aggressive.

Left on its own device, dogs will probably grow to be a real nuisance. Likely behaviors – defecating and urinating on your rare Persian carpet, chewing on your expensive Bally shoe, chasing after the neighbor’s prized Persian cat, digging up your beautifully landscaped garden or waking up the neighbors with incessant barking in the middle of the night. In extreme case it may land you in a lawsuit for having bitten someone.

Dog obedience training will help your pet dog to become more responsive and enables you to have immediate control over your dog’s behavior. In an emergency situation obedience training may save your dog’s life. In fact, it can ultimately save the lives of many dogs, because far fewer dogs would end up in the SPCA if their owners would simply take the time to train them.
